Aviation Innovation Soars at EBACE 2024 with Industry Leaders
For the first time, EBACE spotlighted leading advanced air mobility (AAM) companies both inside the exhibit hall and outdoors. We got an up-close view of VoltAero’s Cassio 330 electric-hybrid certification transport vehicle on the aircraft display at Geneva Airport.
The EBACE Innovation Pavilion, located on the exhibit floor, featured several AAM companies showcasing revolutionary technologies, including:
- Beyond Aero: Introduced the ONE, the first electric business aircraft designed for hydrogen propulsion. It recently completed France’s first human-crewed flight powered entirely by hydrogen-electric technology.
- Hydroplane Limited: This California-based company has developed a modular hydrogen fuel cell for general aviation, Urban Air Mobility, and vertical lift aircraft.
- Lilium: A German company worked to certify its all-electric vertical take-off and landing Jet while partnering to build vertiports in various markets.
- Vaeridon: Based in Munich, Vaeridion has developed highly efficient electric-powered “micro liners” expected to begin operations before 2030.
- VoltAero: It has designed a hybrid-electric aircraft for medical evacuation. The French Company is currently developing the next generation of its Cassio aircraft.
